JEFF AND TIFFINY KEMSKE (pictured at bottom) are celebrating their one-year anniversary as the owners of the El-bo Inn on M-33, north of Atlanta. It is also the 60th anniversary of the El-bo Inn existence. They have recently expanded their dining area by installing a 2,700 sq. ft. outdoor dining and patio area that will pen Memorial weekend. Summer hours are Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. for grill items, 9 p.m. for pizza and calzones, and Thursday – Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. for grill items, 10 p.m. for pizza and calzones. What They Say

We decided to celebrate New Years with another couple by going local this year. We chose the 'Thirsty Sturgeon' near the small town of Wolverine, MI (just off I-75 @ exit 301 - make a right at Main Street - it's about a mile. It will be on your right). This quaint log bar/grille is on the picturesque Sturgeon River. We met our friends there and were seated in the raised main dining room. Our waitress, Skylar, was right there with drinks, almost immediately. She was delightful. My wife had Lobster ala Vodka Past. I had Walleye Risotto. Our friends had the 'FestiveCitrus Quinoa Bowl' and the 'Brown Butter Halibut. The consensus was - Delicious! All of us were blown away by the quality of the food. The prices were reasonable, the ambiance was nice, the service was terrific, and the food was sublime. I would recommend 'The Thirsty Sturgeon' without reservation (although you'll get seated faster if you have one;-).

We were traveling through and stopped for lunch. So glad we found this place. It was nice, clean and delicious. I had the Rachel which is a turkey sandwich and hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich. They were both so good. Who knew a turkey sandwich could be so dang good?? They make their own bread and it made all the difference. Meat was piled high on both sandwiches. The pub chips were also great.

Stopped in for lunch and a fantastic experience. Service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Atmosphere is very cool and the outside dining area is fantastic. Also very nicely spaced between tables, not crammed together as a lot of outdoor areas tend to be. The burger and grinders were fantastic! Good prices, great portions, cooked well and tasted delicious. Certainly will stop whenever in the area.

This is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip! Fantastic menu with a lot of varied choices, great service and excellent food. We had the Reuben balls and whitefish sandwiches. The fries are the bomb!! I would totally reccommend this place to anyone driving by.

This a very fun stop. Delicious homemade pizza and crust as well as good salad. There were so many tasty items on their menu, but the waitress said they were know. For their pizza so we went with that. It was Really good. Friendly staff and fun to eat outside on their large patio. A great experience. We will be back.

For our first restaurant visit in 16 months (Covid), we went to one of our favorite restaurants..The Thirsty Sturgeon. Saw something new on the menu. Butter Rum Pasta. OMG, it was the most incredible pasta dish I have ever had. Tender delicious scallops, shrimp, fresh vegetables and pasta and sauce to die for. I ate every bite (unusual for me) and told my husband I wanted to lick out the bowl...it was that good. Can't wait for our next visit.
